Booking a Protrain Karting Course

The training days are run every Wednesday at the Whilton Mill circuit near Daventry, Northampton starting at 9am and finishing about 3pm.  Each day starts with an instructors briefing and track walk followed by driving sessions and detailed analysis of driving sessions with objective setting for following drives.
 
Before booking your day please choose the best course for you and the Wednesday that is your preference.
 
The courses are segmented into: 
  • K days – using our Comer Cadet kart for 8-11 year olds.
  • R days – using our Rotax Max 125cc karts for 12 years and older. 
  • S days – shortened days (8 sessions)
  • C Days – Cadet days (6 Sessions)
Number:
  1.  For driver’s first step into the sport with either no driving experience or indoor karting experience. Comprises of four driving and coaching sessions in the day.
  2.  For drivers who have driven out doors.  Comprises of five driving and coaching sessions in the day
  3.  For drivers who have driven on full race circuits in two stroke racing karts and are at a standard close to racing and looking to pass their ARKS test to gain their racing licence. Comprises of six driving and coaching sessions in the day and the ARKS test.
  4.  For drivers racing at club and national championship events looking to be further coached on their driving technique and to understand kart and engine set up. Comprises of twelve driving and coaching sessions in the day.
  5.  High level drivers looking for the final edge using coaching and data analysis. Comprises of twelve driving and coaching sessions in the day
Kart
For all courses Protrain will provide a full racing kart for the drivers use with full race wear to Motor Sport Association standards. It is also possible to use your own kart which is preferable as drivers are more familiar with their own equipment and important as it is the kart they will be using to race.
