Introduction to kart driving (K1)
Objectives
This is a training day that takes a novice kart driver who has either never driven a kart before or has only indoor karting experience. The driver will be taught the basic principles of how to drive a racing kart.
The introduction to karting day could lead onto the enjoyment of an amazing sport or simply it will be one of the most fun days of your life!
Course Content
Driving either one of Protrain's karts or using the driver's own kart the training day comprises of an instructors' briefing, four driving sessions and debriefing sessions, and an introduction to the sport of kart racing with full course notes. The instructor will be teaching and then coaching the driver on the principles of basic racing lines, as well as throttle, brake and steering control.
Candidates
This course is suitable for drivers from 8 years upwards looking to take up karting who have either indoor karting experience or have never driven a kart before.
